Teeth Cleanings

Your oral health matters. Invest time and money in keeping your mouth healthy and smile beautiful.  Schedule an appointment at Pacific Dental Smiles and we’ll take care of you.

Dental cleanings come in many forms, and are used in varying degrees depending on the amount of tartar and plaque on your teeth, your gum health and whether you are suffering from periodontal disease.

  • Prophy. For relatively healthy mouth, a prophy or regular cleaning is recommended. It cleans plaque on teeth and the gum line.
  • Deep cleaning. Also referred as gum treatment, this cleaning procedure is recommended for those with periodontal disease, severe gingivitis, and below the gum tartar deposits.

Dental cleaning removes all the germs and deposits on all teeth surfaces and roots. In some cases, it is recommended to use localized antibiotics and irrigation that has specialized medicines.  Most dental cleanings are done twice or until your gums and teeth are healthy

Natural Fillings

It is recommended to use fillings if you have the following conditions:

  • Cavities
  • Worn out teeth
  • Broken or cracked teeth
  • Unattractive metal filing

You have the option to choose a white or a tooth-colored filling.  These materials not only matches your natural teeth, they also last longer.

Here at Pacific Dental Smiles, we use state of the art technology and materials to provide you pain-free and quality dental filling at all times.

Root Canals

Root canals are known to be the most extensive and painful dental procedure. It is a common procedure often done to save a damaged tooth.  In this procedure, the interior of the root is cleaned, disinfected and filled.

Here at Pacific Dental Smiles, our dentists are trained to take precautions to minimize pain and shorten recovery of root canal patients.

In cases when teeth can no longer be saved, extraction is the best course of action to be handled by our highly-trained dentists. Pacific Dental Smiles will make sure that the procedure goes as  smoothly as possible.

If you’re feeling pain due to the damaged tooth, extracting the painful tooth will immediately stop the pain. Below are the two extraction types as possible.

Extraction types:

  1. Simple extraction.  This extraction type is done on more visible teeth .
  2. Surgical extraction.  Surgical extraction is  more complicated and often used if the tooth has been broken  off at the gum line.

Wisdom Tooth  Extraction

Wisdom tooth or third molars are the last pair of teeth that come in during the late teens or early 20s. In some cases, the tooth gets stuck or impacted  which can cause irritation and swelling. It may also cause misalignment if it’s not on their normal position. If a wisdom tooth is impacted, it has to be removed.

If you have an impacted wisdom tooth, our Dental Pacific Smiles Center team will help you. We will offer you detailed information of the situation, treatment options and what to expect of your treatment.

Crowns are used to cover damaged teeth not only to strengthen it but also to improve its alignment, shape and appearance. Lava, zirconia and porcelain crowns are the most common types available in the market these days.

Our dentists may recommend this dental procedure to you to:

  • Help strengthen a weak tooth and avoid fracture
  • Restore a fractured tooth
  • Replace a filling
  • Cover a dental implant
  • Attach bridges
  • Cover tooth that had root canal
  • Cover discolored and/or poorly-shaped tooth

Here at Pacific Dental Smiles Center, we offer only the best for you by using only the most durable and aesthetically pleasing dental materials at a price you’ll love. In addition, we have state-of-the-art technology and technique to ensure that you get your desired beautiful and confident smile.

Missing teeth is no simple matter. Gaps from missing teeth cause the other teeth to shift or rotate, which results in a bad bite. It can also lead to gum disease and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders.

These conditions brought about by missing teeth can easily be fixed by replacing the teeth. One known dental procedure is bridges.  Bridges are placed in the gap and affixed permanently. You can choose the material for their bridges. Dentists will then assess and determine the right bridge to use depending on the location, its function, aesthetic considerations and cost.

Modern technology in dental industry has led to new treatments previously unavailable in the past.  What used to take long and cost a lot are now more accessible and more convenient. An example of this is dental implants.

Dental implants are great options as they offer the most stable support due to it being permanently attached to one’s jawbone. This prevents any pinching or sliding, and offers stability when eating or speaking. In addition, dental implants do not require adjacent teeth to keep it in place.

At Pacific Dental Smiles Center, dental implant procedure can take as little as one day with less costs.
