Veneers

Dental veneers are tooth-colored porcelain sheets that are customized to suit the needs of patients. The veneers are designed to cover the surface of the tooth and improve its appearance.

You may consider getting veneers, if you are suffering from any of the following:

  • Worn down, broken or chipped teeth
  • Misaligned or crooked teeth
  • Irregularly or uneven shaped teeth
  • Tooth gap
  • Dark lines or mismatched colors

Veneers can give you natural tooth appearance while increasing the teeth’s stain resistance and durability.  It may even protect the teeth and help avoid future dental treatments. The best part is dental veneers are quick and painless solution to achieving beautiful smile.

Getting a dental veneer requires two visits to the dentist and require a local anesthesia.

  • Visit #1

To prepare the dental veneer, a thin layer of enamel from the tooth surface is removed by the dentist. The next step is to take an impression of the tooth and then sent to a laboratory for designing. While this is being completed, temporary veneers are added.

  • Visit #2

On your second visit, the permanent veneers are temporarily attached to the teeth to make room for adjustments. Once the perfect fit is achieved, the teeth will be cleaned, polished and prepared for permanent bonding. Once this stage is completed, a thorough examination and last-minute adjustments are done.
